KENLY – Deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 50 year-old man after he reportedly stole an air compressor then sold it to an unsuspecting buyer.
Christopher Ted Creech of Old Beulah Road, Kenly was charged December 16 with obtaining property by false pretense and larceny, both felony offenses.
Creech is accused of stealing the air compressor, valued at $1,800, from a relative. The stolen air compressor was recovered by the sheriff’s office.
