Police have arrested a Four Oaks man for attempting to break into a hotel room inside the Baymont Inn on Outlet Center Drive in Smithfield.
Officers responded to a call around 9:15pm Tuesday reporting a man was trying to force his way into a room. Police took 40 year-old Johnny Duncan Jr. of Sandy Road, Four Oaks into custody while he will still on the scene. Police did not say if the room he was trying to enter was occupied.
Duncan was charged with attempted breaking and entering. Bail was set at $20,000.
