Smithfield Police are investigating a reported assault that left one man hospitalized.
The incident was reported around 2:23am Saturday in the parking lot of Twister’s at 1300 South Brightleaf Boulevard.
Police tell WTSB News a 34 year-old man, Ludman Carreto Francisco, was struck with an unknown object. Francisco sustained a broken facial bones.
