Man Awakens To Find Burglar In His Bedroom, JCSO Says

CLAYTON – A Johnston County man said he awoke in the middle of the night to find a burglar in his home.

Around 2:02am Sunday, October 13, the 54-year-old man said he woke up to find a man in his bedroom. The victim immediately began to struggle with the intruder and was able to physically detain the suspect until authorities arrived at his home on Country Lane near Clayton.

Johnston County deputies arrested the suspect, a nearby resident, Ramon Adalid Zelaya Caceres, age 26, also of Country Lane, Clayton.

An incident report did not indicate if the victim and suspect knew one another.

Caceres was charged with felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injure. He was held under a $10,000 bond.

      • No, maybe it’s you two who are absolutely Dumb!
Vote for someone who actually gives a hoot for ‘all of us’ equally.

    • LOL yes Brett the national crime rate has fallen from the last year of Trump’s Presidency but it will magically go back up to historical levels. (Insert clown emoji)

      • You do remember that the riots of 2020 were encouraged and exacerbated by democrats, don’t you?? The democrats will stop at nothing to gain or regain control of We The People.

      • “More than 6,000 law enforcement agencies were missing from the FBI’s national crime data last year, representing nearly one-third of the nation’s 18,000 police agencies. This means a quarter of the U.S. population wasn’t represented in the federal crime data last year, according to The Marshall Project’s analysis….the two largest police agencies in the U.S., the New York Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, are still missing in the federal data.”

      • Brett, Once again, A statistic the democrats drove up and now taking credit because it is better and blame the high on Trump. SMDH.

    • This is so stupid. It is so stupid it almost is unfathomable. You know literally nothing about the incident, other than some sparse details of an alleged crime of breaking and entering. Yet, somehow, this is indicative of the political climate. Suddenly, if a certain person becomes President of the United States, or Governor of NC, the ENTIRE COMMUNITY of Johnston County will explode into criminal chaos—YOURSELF INCLUDED. We, as a people, will not have the ability to restrain ourselves from criminally acting out, because the new President or Governor of a State has a direct bearing on the propensity of criminals to act.

If, after even GLANCING at a basic Civics and Economics book and understanding how the government works (and the ACTUAL powers of certain individuals), you still feel your comment is valid, then get out and vote.

      • You make too much sense for this local electorate.
They would NEVER be able to connect those simple dots.
        Ignorance Abounds!
