HARNETT COUNTY – The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend shooting that left one person in the hospital in critical condition.
Around 2:54pm Sunday, deputies responded to a shooting call on Dorman Road near Dunn. Officers found the victim, Andrew Nathan Cobb, age 39, of Erwin inside a vehicle. He had been shot multiple times.
Cobb was rushed to an area hospital and at last report was in critical condition.
Detectives obtained warrants on the suspect, William Kirk Johnson, age 45, of Dunn. Johnson was last seen leaving the scene in a dark color SUV.
Johnson is wanted on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property and possession of a firearm by felon.
