Man Linked To Armed Robbery Of 7 Children

Demery-Bernard-McLymore-FIBail has been set at $4 million for a 22 year-old man authorities said robbed 7 children at gunpoint in two separate incidents.

Around 4:30pm Saturday, two children were in a parking lot near Roseboro when a man held them at gunpoint and took their money.

Around 8:15pm Saturday, five juveniles reported they were in the same area when they were robbed at gunpoint. The suspect took their money, three cell phones and a pair of tennis shoes. One of the victims was forced to drive the suspect to a location near Clinton. The victim was forced to throw the keys from the vehicle before the suspect fled, leaving the victim in the vehicle.

The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Demery Bernard McLymore of Roseboro.  McLymore was located on Sunday and arrested on multiple charges for the robberies plus additional crimes committed in the city of Clinton and investigated by Clinton Police.

Among those charges are robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, first-degree kidnapping, assault on a government officials, resisting a public officer, injury to real property and communicating threats.
