As holiday shoppers were busy making last minute gift purchases Sunday, shots rang out in the parking lot of the Pinewood Square Shopping Center on N. Spence Avenue.
Around 11:00am, Goldsboro Police said 22 year-old Alexander Rickey Shaw was shot once. He was rushed to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
Police said they have obtained warrants for Linwood Isaish Grantham, 24, whose last known address was on Park Ridge Lane in Goldsboro. Once located he will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Officers said an argument began between the victim and suspect led to the shooting. Both men knew one another and had been involved in an ongoing dispute, according to reports. Photos by John Payne
