BENSON – A man was shot today outside his southern Johnston County home. The shooting happened around Noon in the Twin Pines Mobile Home Park on Tarheel Road off Highway 301 north of Benson.
The victim was transported by Johnston County EMS to the hospital for a non-life threatening wound. The suspect fled from the scene on foot.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting. No additional details were immediately available.
