No charges will be filed against a 24 year-old man who allegedly shot himself with a pellet gun. The incident was reported around 11:00pm Thursday in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Smithfield.
Police said the man, who is from Jefferson, Georgia, was inside a motor home in the parking area. While loading a pellet gun he shot himself in the side. He was transported by ambulance to Johnston Medical Center for treatment.
Police announced Friday the individual will not face any charges, saying the incident was accidental.
