Man Stabbed With Deer Antlers During Break-In

One of two victims allegedly assaulted by a woman who broke into a home captured the entire ordeal on video.

Around 2:00am Sunday, deputies responded to a 911 call on Clark Pond Road outside of Clayton reporting the incident.

Deputies said 28 year-old Amber Nicole Vanburen of West Main Street, Clayton went to the victims home and after several attempts was able to kick in the back door. One of the victims began recording the burglary on their cell phone camera.  The video allegedly captures Vanburen gain entry into the home then punch and kick the two occupants, a 38 year-old man and 38 year-old woman.

Vanburen then strikes the male victim with a dog leash then stabs him with deer antlers found in the home.

Authorities allege Vanburen knew she was being videotaped by one of the victims.  She was still on the scene when deputies arrived.

Vanburen is facing multiple charges including breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, second degree kidnapping, simple assault, assault with a deadly weapon, assault by strangulation and injury to property. She was transported to the Johnston County Jail and held under a $100,000 bond.

The victims received minor injuries.  Deputies said the suspect knew the victims in the home and the incident was domestic related.
