Man Threatened To Shoot Law Enforcement Officer, JCSO Says

SELMA ā€“ A Johnston County man, with a lengthy criminal history, was arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot a law enforcement officer. It happened December 19 around 12:18pm.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home in the 4400 block of Old Beulah Road for a domestic disturbance between Jason Lynn Rook and another family member, authorities said.

After arriving at the home, Rook reportedly refused to open the door and verbally threatened to shoot a deputy who had responded.

Rook was taken into custody and charged with communicating threats, a misdemeanor.
