March 6-12 Proclaimed Girl Scout Week In Selma

March 6th – 12th has been proclaimed Girl Scout Week in the Town of Selma.  Mayor Cheryl Oliver and the four town council members made the proclamation during their meeting Tuesday night.

Town officials also took the time to recognize the members of Girl Scout Troop #963 from Selma, Pine Level and Princeton. The group has about 20 members. 

This Saturday, March 12th marks 104th anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA, founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia.  Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines served nearly 26,000 girls scouts in 41 central and eastern North Carolina counties.
