A state trooper arrested a Wayne County man during a traffic stop Thursday night in Johnston County.
The trooper stopped a car on the US 70 Clayton Bypass near Ranch Road for a traffic violation. The driver, Nardaron Rachaute Cox, 34, of Goldsboro, was reportedly caught with just over 4 ounces of marijuana concealed inside his car.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the trooper.
Cox was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license. Bail was set at $11,500.
