A Johnston County man says someone broke into his home stealing marijuana.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a residential break-in Saturday afternoon in the 10000 block of Cleveland Road. The 20 year-old resident reported that sometime between 7:00 pm Friday and 12:35 pm Saturday someone had kicked in the side door to a garage at his mother’s home and gained entry. Once inside the suspect or suspects went to the victim’s bedroom and allegedly stole $200 in cash and an undetermined amount of marijuana.
Officers said the remainder of the home had not been disturbed.
A detective has been assigned to investigate the break-in.
