A Harnett County man is facing serious charges following a traffic stop around 2:00pm last Friday on Old Fairground Road in Johnston County. A sheriff’s deputy stopped a car for a traffic violation.
Inside the vehicle the officer reportedly found approximately 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine along with a small amount of suspected marijuana.
Jonathan Gilbert Johnson, 50, of Mason Street, Erwin was charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana paraphernalia, and drug paraphernalia.
Johnson was confined in the Johnston County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
