Meth Lab Found In Sampson County

Two people have been arrested after a meth lab was discovered in Sampson County.

The Sampson County Sheriff’s Special Investigation Division was investigating a complaint of possible meth-related activities on Woodland Lane in Roseboro, NC on Friday night. 

Agents executed a search warrant and discovered an active meth lab. The NC State Bureau of Investigation responded and dismantled and disposed of the meth lab and hazardous materials found at the scene.  Also discovered were an undisclosed amount of meth and two firearms. 

Sampson-Meth-Lab-2Cory Dion Bennett, 29, Woodlane Lane, Roseboro was charged with possession of firearm by felon, possession of methamphetamine, possession and distribution of methamphetamine precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia, storage of hazardous waste, littering of hazardous waste, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of methamphetamine with a prior conviction.  Bail was set at $550,000.

Samantha Yarboro, 21, Innis Brook Court, Parkton was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession and distribution of methamphetamine precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia, storage of hazardous waste, littering of hazardous waste, and manufacturing methamphetamine.  Her bail was placed at $225,000.

Sheriff Jimmy Thornton said, “These agents worked over from Friday evening until lateSaturday evening on this case with no rest.  Cases like this take a lot of time and man power to complete.  We have some outstanding and dedicated employees and I’m thankful for the job they do each day.”
