Sheriff’s deputies said they seized methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia from a vehicle after a K-9 alerted on the car during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon. An officer stopped a vehicle in the 3800 block of Barber Mill Road outside of Clayton at 3:18pm.
A passenger in the vehicle, Brandon Dean Milligan, 26, of Bens Circle, Benson was wanted for a probation violation warrant. After taking him into custody, deputies said they asked the driver, identified as Amber Nicole Stewart, 25, of Woodbrook Way, Garner, for permission to search the car. Stewart reportedly refused. A sheriff’s K-9 alerted on the vehicle for suspected narcotics. During a subsequent search, two small bags of suspected methamphetamine were located.
Milligan and Stewart was both charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Milligan was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $330,000 bond. Stewart was given a $50,000 bond.
