Minor injuries were reported in a two vehicle accident tonight (Thursday) on Highway 301 South of Smithfield in front of Holt Lake Barbecue.
Around 6:45pm, a vehicle leaving the parking lot of Holt Lake Barbecue was struck by a car traveling on Highway 301 South. A witness said one of the occupants was pregnant.
The witness said occupants from both cars were transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries by Johnston County EMS.
Smithfield Police are investigating and did not release any immediate information at the scene. The Smithfield Fire Department also responded.
