The Clayton Town Council got a visit Monday night from Miss Clayton 2018, Lauren Walsh, who won her crown in a March 3rd pageant at The Clayton Center.
In keeping with her platform, “Spark the Flame Encouraging Volunteerism,” Walsh has committed herself to holding a volunteering event each month. Her recent Princess Party raised $377 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and her upcoming Pups In The Park! on May 20th will raise money for Rescue Ur Forever Friend (RUFF) at East Clayton Community Park.
In March, Walsh won over hearts when she delighted attendees and didn’t leave the dance floor at the Clayton Parks & Recreation Special Needs dance! You can watch Walsh represent Clayton in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant at 8:00pm on Saturday, June 23 on WTVD ABC11. In 2015, Walsh was crowned as the first-ever Miss Clayton’s Outstanding Teen.
