The play was also featured on local television stations including WNCN and WTVD.

The play also gained online viral attention as it was viewed over 700,000 times on Instagram (as of August 7) and earned nearly 60,000 impressions on the Mudcats’ Twitter page (@CarolinaMudcats). Video of the play was also featured prominently MiLB.com and across Minor League Baseball’s social media accounts.

Harrison joins teammate Lucas Erceg as the only two Mudcats’ players to win the Carolina League Player of the Week award this season. Erceg was named the Carolina League’s Player of the Week during the previous week of play, giving the Mudcats back-to-back Player of the Week award winners. The weekly honor was the first of both Harrison and Erceg’s career.

The Carolina Mudcats are the new Carolina League, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. First established in 1991, the two-time Southern League Champion Mudcats are in their 27th consecutive season of baseball at Five County Stadium in Zebulon.
