Mother, 1 Year-Old Victims Of Christmas Day Home Invasion

A young mother and her 1 year-old daughter escaped harm during a home invasion on Christmas morning.

The 24 year-old mother said she and her daughter were asleep inside their home on Flower Hill Road, outside of Kenly, around 4:30am Friday morning when someone entered the residence pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money.

Instead of complying, the victim said she took her child and ran to a neighbors home to summon help. When authorities arrived the suspect had already fled.  However, the victim said the intruder stole a laptop computer and her purse containing cash.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a ski mask and all black clothing.

Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000.
