The Highway Patrol is investigating a serious accident that closed a portion of Highway 70 Business near Clayton Monday night.
A mother and her 14 year-old daughter were rushed to WakeMed for serious injuries after their Honda collided with another vehicle. After the impact the Honda overturned down an embankment. Fire and EMS workers had to extricate the two victims from their vehicle.
Reports indicate the teenager had a finger amputated in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken into custody at the scene for unknown charges. Photos by JoCoFire.com
