Motorcyclist Ejected, Injured in Clayton Crash

CLAYTON, N.C. – A motorcyclist was injured late Sunday following a crash along a busy stretch of highway in Clayton.
The incident occurred on U.S. 70 near the I-42 interchange (formerly US 70 Bypass). Authorities say the crash involved a single motorcycle, though details about what led to the wreck have not yet been released.

Emergency responders arrived to find the rider had been thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken by Johnston County EMS to WakeMed for treatment. His condition has not been released.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash. Crews from Wilson’s Mills Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
