CLINTON – The State Highway Patrol has released the name of a motorcyclist who was killed in a single vehicle accident. The accident was reported at 4:16pm Saturday on Beulah Road, about 3-1/2 miles south of Clinton.
Troopers said Ricky Terrell Murphy, age 53, of Clinton was operating a motorcycle northbound on Beulah Road when he ran off the road to the right. Murphy lost control on the shoulder, causing the motorcycle to overturn in a ditch.
Murphy was ejected and died at the scene from his injuries, the Highway Patrol said.
