  1. I witnessed this accident. My husband is a fire fighter and went to help him until the EMS got there. This is so heartbreaking. I want to know who he is so we can send condolences to the family. He appeared to be young.

    • I would like to thank your husband for being with my son and anything he did to try to save him. He had just bought that bike 3 days earlier. It was his dream bike and he was having me sell his old Sport bike so he could put the money to the new one. He was coming up on one year in the Air Force and was recently stationed to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

      • Had just talked to him on Tuesday to wait until I bought his next year but bro loved to ride he couldn’t wait to be on the road already i was looking forward to riding with him when he came back to town it’s very unfortunate what happened my condolences to you and the family

  2. I had to ride by him too. No cops no ambulance. It was bad. Me and my daughter were in the car heading to a wedding in Clayton. A big tanker truck was in front of me and he had to swerve to pass all the car that were there. It shook me up for sure. I was thinking about him that whole day. I’m sorry for the loved ones

  3. My husband and I came up on this accident and he stopped and helped as well. I would love to be able to send my condolences to his family and friends as well. My momma heart hurt seeing this yesterday. It really bothered me seeing someone on the opposite side of the highway with their phone up taping this. Shame on you, if you are on here. That was very disrespectful. Bless everyone that was there and tried to help. Prayers to you all as well and prayers to the family and friends of this young man.

  4. Hi Megan, my posts aren’t posting. We are the family of the young man, we are so thankful your husband was there to support him until EMS arrived. Please let me know how to get into contact with you, we have been so heartbroken being out of state and hearing of this. His last name is Lee.

    • I don’t want the family to read this and think no one was trying to save their son, brother…. We didn’t see it happen, we came up on it right after it did and when we drove by him and saw him laying there and everyone just standing around we thought the same thing. My husband immediately stopped put it in park, went and checked his pulse both in the carotid and femoral and there was no pulse. He did not suffer and was gone instantly. I have lost a loved one before and I would want to know they didn’t suffer and that someone tried their best to save their life. God be with this family.

      • Thank you KC this man although not blood was one of the only people i could call my brother i grew up with him and spoke to him every single day, weve been through most of our lives with each other and hearing this information brings a bit of relief but i couldnt thank you and your husband enough

  6. My condolences for the family I was coming by heading east on 70 when I came up on it with my grandkids coming from a reunion

  7. KC, thank you so much for this information. We were devastated and thought he suffered. I am relieved but we are still with such a heavy heart at his passing. Again, thank you so much

    • You’re welcome sweetheart. I know it won’t take away the pain, but atleast it takes that worry away. My heart goes out to you and your family.
