Motorcyclist Taken To WakeMed After Sunday Crash

JOHNSTON COUNTY – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a collision with an SUV at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Road and Linville Lane.

The N.C. State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred around 4:02 p.m. when a black SUV attempted to turn left from Linville Lane onto Mt. Pleasant Road and failed to yield the right-of-way to a motorcycle traveling westbound on Mt. Pleasant Road.

The motorcyclist was transported to WakeMed Raleigh with serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was transported to WakeMed Garner.

The State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the collision. The names of those involved have not been released.
