Motorist Points Gun At High School Student

A local high school student escaped injury after someone pointed a gun at him while he was driving home.

JoCoReport.com has learned the victim, an 18 year-old student who attends North Johnston High School, had just left his job and was driving home from work around 1:00 AM when the incident occurred.

The teen said a vehicle began following him on US 301 South of Micro near Pittman Road. The vehicle continued to follow him very closely as he made several turns on rural roadways.  The teen decided to stop in the 1200 block of Brown’s Dairy Road so the vehicle could pass. However, the victim told deputies the vehicle stopped behind him and a passenger pointed a handgun at him.  The teenager then fled from the scene. The vehicle did not follow him home.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a newer model blue 4 door Chevy pickup.
