Murder Charge Filed In Fatal Harnett County Stabbing

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. – A Broadway woman has been charged with murder after another woman was fatally stabbed Saturday morning, according to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at approximately 9:01 a.m. June 27, to a residence in the 200 block of Dunrovin Lane after receiving a report of a stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they found Victoria Young suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested Lisa Acevedo, 47, of Broadway, and charged her with one count of murder.

Acevedo is being held in the Harnett County Detention Center without bond. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Monday, June 29.

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
