More charges have been filed against a murder suspect. Matthew Craig Moyers of Dudley was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on Monday and charged with fatally shooting Joshua Omar Forbes at a location on Bryan Boulevard in the Mar Mac Community early Saturday morning. Forbes died on the way to the hospital.
On Wednesday, authorities said they conducted a search warrant on Moyers vehicle. During a search of his car, heroin, prescription pills and nearly an ounce of methamphetamine were located.
As a result of the drugs that were found, the 24 year-old man was charged with four drug violations. He remains in the Wayne County Jail without bond on the murder charge.
