My Kid’s Club Hosting VIRTUAL 2020 Railroad Days 5K Run/Walk

SELMA –  My Kid’s Club is inviting the public to sign up for the 43rd Annual Railroad Days VIRTUAL 5K Run/Walk on October 3rd and 4th.

The Railroad Days 5K is the oldest race of its kind in Johnston County and, due to COVID-19, My Kid’s Club is reinventing this year’s race into a virtual event. Participants can run or walk any time and any place during the two-day race.

The race registration options include the Virtual 5K Run, Virtual 1 Mile Fun Run or even an Afternoon Nap for those who would like to donate their registration fee to My Kid’s Club. The registration fee is $25 per person, $15 for students if with a school team. A short-sleeved Railroad Days race t-shirt is included for those registered before September 25.

“I’m very proud to chair this virtual event for an organization that is so invested in the success of kids in Johnston County,” said Bill Galloway, Race Chair and local resident. “I encourage you to participate in this event for My Kid’s Club.”

All event proceeds benefit My Kid’s Club, an afterschool education program in Selma and Smithfield.
