My Kid’s Club Of Selma Becomes Boys & Girls Club Of Johnston County

SELMA – My Kid’s Club of Selma is excited to announce its official transformation into the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County, marking a new era of expanded services and opportunities for local youth. The organization will host a Grand Opening event at its SECU Community Clubhouse on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM to commemorate this significant change. The clubhouse is at 609 N Pollock Street in Selma.

This celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a special Lakota helicopter landing demonstration by the National Guard, adding excitement to the day’s program. While the SECU Community Clubhouse is a familiar and cherished space, this event marks the official transition of My Kid’s Club to the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County, underscoring the organization’s growing commitment to supporting youth across the region.

“We are thrilled to announce the rebranding of My Kid’s Club as the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County. This transition signifies a broader mission and greater opportunities to serve the youth of Johnston County,” said Lynn Stanley, Interim Executive Director of My Kid’s Club. “While our clubhouse is not new, our vision is evolving, and we look forward to welcoming the community to this event and sharing our expanded services.”

The community is invited to attend this exciting celebration. Guests are encouraged to RSVP by October 11th by emailing info@mykidsclub.org.
