N.C. 231 In Nash County Requires Temporary Closure

SPRING HOPE – A state highway in Nash County will close beginning Monday, Feb. 16 where a culvert will be replaced.

Maintenance crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to begin the closure Monday morning on N.C. 231 south of its interchange with U.S. 64.

The road is expected to reopen by Friday, Feb. 20, weather permitting.

A detour will send drivers onto Frazier, Old Nash, Valley and Prophecy roads. People should be mindful of the longer commute using the detour and be alert near the work site.
