The Nash County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide. It happened around Noon Sunday in the 9000 block of London Church Road near the Nash-Wilson County line.
Deputies responded to a report of shots being fired at a residence. When officers arrived they found a large crowd loitering outside the home. Deputies found an adult male outside with injuries. The victim was transported by Nash County EMS to a Rocky Mount hospital where he died.
According to a press release, detectives are following up on leads and conducting interviews. An autopsy will be performed to positively identify the victim and his cause of death.
