Nathaniel Mayfield Earns The Rank Of Eagle Scout

An Eagle Scout Ceremony was held Saturday at Oakland Presbyterian Church for Eagle Scout Nathaniel Charles Mayfield from Boy Scout Troop 33 of Clayton.

In 2017, Nate relocated from Boy Scout Troop 62 of Tifton, Georgia to Scout Troop 33.

Nate is a current recipient of an Army ROTC Scholarship and will be attending the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) next year where he plans to enroll in International Studies. His goal is to become an Aviation Officer in the United States Army.

During his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, Nate was presented with an Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III on behalf of the Johnston County Marine Corps League (JCMCL) Carry-On Detachment 1236 (left), and from the Marine Corps League Department of North Carolina Assistant Eagle Scout Coordinator Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. (right).
