NCDOT Closes Section Of Johnston County Roadway

BENSON – The NC Department of Transportation has temporarily closed a section of Holly Grove Road, in the Meadow community, in southern Johnston County.

On Wednesday, a crossline drainage pipe failed, causing a portion of the rural roadway to collapse.

Holly Grove Road has been closed between Beasley Road and T Bar Road until repairs can be made.

Weather permitting, the NCDOT hopes repairs can be completed and the roadway reopened by January 2, 2024.
