The Johnston County Landfill will be getting some new equipment after the purchases were approved by Johnston County Commissioners during their September 3rd monthly meeting.
Rick Proctor, Director of Solid Waste Services, received approval to purchase a Volvo EC300EL hydraulic excavator for $204,485 and a Volvo A30G articulated off-road dump truck hauler for $411,192. Both purchases were made under state contract. Ascendum Machinery of Greenville, NC will provide the equipment.
Proctor said funds are including in the current 2019-20 fiscal year budget.
