KENLY – A patrol car and SUV had to be towed from the scene of a two vehicle collision this afternoon (Wednesday) in northeastern Johnston County.
The 3:40pm crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 222 West and Antioch Church Road.
A deputy with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office was traveling on Highway 222 when the driver of the SUV reportedly pulled from a stop sign on Antioch Church Road and into his path.
Both drivers were checked out at the scene by Johnston County EMS personnel but no injuries were reported.
The Antioch Fire Department responded and assisted with traffic control.
The State Highway Patrol investigated and cited the driver of the SUV with failure to yield.
Thank God no one was injured.
