SELMA – A late night fire destroyed a detached two-story garage and its contents at a home on Jordan Narron Road, off Buffalo Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fully engulfed detached garage with flames visible from all sides.
Multiple fire departments responded to a 911 call from a neighbor reporting the blaze around 11:00pm Friday
A Johnston County deputy sheriff was on patrol in the area and was the first on the scene. He ensured the residents were safely evacuated from their home and also brought the family’s cat to safety.
Jordan Narron Road was closed for several hours.
No injuries were reported.
