Clayton – Aaron David Gerrell, age 75, passed away at his home in Clayton on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Born in Wake County on December 17, 1946, he was a son to the late Henry Bait Gerrell and Cornelia Moore Johnson. Aaron was a simple man who enjoyed fishing and playing golf in his free time. He served in The United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
In addition to his parents, Aaron is preceded in death by his brother, Malone Gerrell, and sister, Frances Davis.
Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, just prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Aaron is survived by his daughter, Kim Taylor of Pikeville; brothers, Tommy Gerrell of Wallace; Joe Gerrell and wife Loretta of Angier; Woody Gerrell and wife Barbara of Selma; Sonny Gerrell and wife Donna of Kenly; Jimmy Gerrell of Pine Level; sisters, Annie Williams and husband Bobby of Princeton; Audrey Hall and husband Billy of Wilsons Mills; and granddaughter; Kaitlynn Taylor of Pikeville.
