Benson, NC: Mr. Albert Williamson Buck, Jr., age 87, passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 26, 2024, 6:30 p.m. at Unity Advent Christian Church, 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Rev. Darren Brisco will officiate.
Mr. Buck was born on August 30, 1936 in Guilford County, NC to the late Albert Williamson, Sr., and Ann M. Russell Buck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Johnson Buck; sons, Darrell Keith Buck, Russell Dewayne Buck, and Rufus Edgar (Tracy) Watkins, III; and brothers, Bobby S. Buck, Donald R. Buck and Darrell E. Buck. Mr. Buck served our nation in the U.S. Marines from 1954-1957 and the Reserves from 1957-1963. He owned a business and worked in HVAC for 38 years, then retired after 24 additional years of service with the NC State University Department of Crop Science.
Survivors include children, Larry Buck, Kent Terrell and wife Joanne, Susan Addison and husband Gary, Kim Tuenis and husband John, Amanda Belleville and husband Richard, and Susan Smith and husband Mike; grandchildren, Phillip, Fletcher, Daulton, Andrew, Jason, Jimmy, Chrissy, Emily, Jennifer, Alex, TJ, Dakota, Lauren, Hunter, Adam, Allie and Anna; great-grandchildren, Madison, Parker, Titus, Lexie, Salem, Landon, Ryleigh, Emma Jo, Liam, Owen, Mary Creighton, and Tate; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 5:30 p.m. at Unity Advent Christian Church before the memorial service.
