Alfred Zelph “Al” Moore, age 85, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Smithfield Manor Nursing Home in Smithfield. Born May 17, 1937 in Lenoir County, he was the son of the late Kelly Harper Moore and Alice Kilpatrick Moore Edmondson.
A graveside service will be conducted on January 17th at 12 PM in Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Moore; sons, Douglas Moore and Brian Moore; daughters, Colette Collins and Victoria Moore; stepson, Alex Lassiter; stepdaughters, Christine Reddin and Patricia Lassiter; and grandchildren, Heather Jacobson, Kimberly Collins, Stephanie Collins, Molly Collins, Dylan Moore, Alex Stratton, George Reddin, and William Reddin.

Al will be missed dearly; he has been a great friend and mentor to me at work. He always been a very pleasant person to be around with and always enjoyed our time together. I will surely miss him. My prayers go out to his family during this time of loss.
