Benson, NC: Mrs. Alice Faircloth Coats, age 72, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Dr. Paul Rowland and Mr. Ken Stephenson will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mrs. Coats was born on March 22, 1951 in Harnett County, NC to the late Jonah and Alice Faircloth. Alongside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Coats, son, Brandon Coats, and her brothers, Bruce Faircloth and Roger Faircloth.
Mrs. Coats retired from Nationwide Insurance Company, and was a homemaker. She attended Berea Presbyterian Church outside Four Oaks, NC. She loved going to the beach with her family, going to the movies with her friends, and Bible study at church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jill Giddens and husband, Bradley of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Garrett Giddens, Kayla Giddens, Maddie Coats, and Emma Coats; sisters, Barbara Barbour and husband, Charles of Garner, NC; and Susan Stephenson and husband, Ken of Rock Hill, SC; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Fairlcoth of Angier, NC, and Shirley Brown of Belmont, NC; brother-in-law, James Coats and wife, Opal of Benson, NC; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM-1:45PM- Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home.
