Benson, NC: Mrs. Alice Faye Langdon Ellis, age 83, of E. Harnett Street passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM- Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. Entombment will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memorial Gardens in Smithfield.
Mrs. Ellis was born on November 11, 1939 in Johnston County to the late William Hubert and Iris Mae Beasley Langdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ellis, Sr.; son, Danny Johnson; daughter, Tonya Adams; sisters and brothers, Alonzo Langdon, Cora Mae Langdon, Percy Ray Langdon, Peggy Ann Langdon. Mrs. Ellis retired from Johnston County Public Schools where, she served as a bus driver and in food service with South Johnston High School and Four Oaks Elementary School. She was a member of the Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson.
Surviving include her children, Michael Cook and wife, Sherry of Benson, Christopher Lee Langdon of Raleigh, Jerry Ellis, Jr. and wife, Danielle of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Lacey Danyelle Hill and husband, Rick, Allen Cook and wife, Amber, Andrea Stockwell and husband, Zachary, Cynthia Ellis, Cameron Maynard, Elijah Maynard, Christopher Cruz Langdon; great-grandchildren, Mackenize Hill, Jacob Hill, Joshua Hill, Fletcher Cook, Lilly Ann Ellis, Elizabeth Patiense Brewington; brother and caregiver, Nathan “Peanut” Langdon of Benson; brothers, Benny Carl Langdon of Benson, J.C. Langdon of Four Oaks, Kenneth Wayne Langdon and wife, Libby of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Allen and Amber Cook, 125 Surles Road Benson, NC 27504.
