Alicia Rose Johnson

    Alicia Rose Howell Johnson, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to be with Jesus on 8 September 2024 and will be greatly missed.

    She is survived by her husband, Rex Johnson (Princeton); sons, Dexter Johnson (Judy Lynn) and Mark Johnson (Kelly); five granddaughters and one great granddaughter. She had a lot of pet cats and photos of them. Also, she was an Elvis fan and had an extensive collection of memorabilia. She found beauty in nature and had photographed its wonder, which included flowers and animals. Most of all, she kept many photos of her family and friends, whom she cherished.

    Alicia Johnson served God and country in a variety of ways and ministries. She served the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Sunday School, Bible School, choir, and fundraising for the Ronald McDonald House. She would go visit rest homes, hospitals, and be instrumental in getting things for those in need; especially, for veterans. Additionally, she was a retired school teacher assistant and ministered to those children. She loved little children.

    Mrs. Johnson worked hard and faithful for her family and others during her life. She instilled work ethic in her sons and if they complained, she would quote Philippians 2:14, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings…”

    Alicia Rose will be missed. She was faithful over her servantship to God, a faithful wife, and mother. She is and was a good mamma. Her legacy of service to God will always be remembered and she will forever be missed. She was faithful over these things in life. Now she has entered into the joys of the Lord.

    A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
