Allan Wayne Beasley

    Allan Wayne Beasley, 61 of Snow Hill passed away at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Monday, August 21, 2023. Allan was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on September 7, 1961 to the late Leroy Lee Beasley and Grace Mae Thompson Beasley Henderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Terry and Chris Beasley.

    Allan was a Master Transmission Builder. He has worked at King’s Transmissions for 23 years. Prior to working a King’s, he worked at Jenning’s Transmission for a number of years.

    Sports played a very important part of his life, including football, golfing and other sports, but his main love was Nascar racing with Dale Earnhardt, Sr. being his all time favorite. Fishing was also one of his favorite past times. He had a variety of other interests including watching National Geographic, the History Channel and other educational channels.

    He was faithful to his mother before her passing, calling her like clockwork every evening and kept that routine after her passing with his stepfather, Herbert Henderson. He was very supportive to his closest friends and most everyone with whom he was affiliated with. Fulfilling his mother’s life time wish, Allan accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in the later part of his life.

    He is survived by his stepfather, Herbert Alexander Henderson of Smithfield; brother, Gary Beasley (Debbie) of Kenly; sister, Sheila Beasley of Idabel, Oklahoma; nephews, Johnny, Robert, Matthew, Mark and DJ; nieces, Christina, Brooke and Andrea; and several great nephews and nieces; beloved friends, Karl, Teresa, Jennifer, Karrie and Dawton, (whom Allan called Cadet and loved like a son) King, Karen Moye and canine friend, Oreo.

    The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations of Princeton. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Larry Hunt and Reverend Robert Smith officiating. Burial in Princeton Cemetery will take place at a later date. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the home of Karl and Teresa King, 1727 Hood Swamp Road, LaGrange, NC 28551, following the memorial service.

    Although flowers are welcome the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
