Benson, NC – Ms. Anita Gold Wood Ellen, age 58, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Whitley. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
Anita was born on December 31, 1966 in Harnett County to the late Aaron B. and Fleta Gold Penny Wood. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Johnna Norris. Anita retired from the North Carolina Secretary of State Office in Raleigh. She was selfless always putting others before herself and especially loved her family. Anita adored her dog, Lexi.
Surviving includes her children, Brett Pleasant and wife, Laura of Lillington, Alyssa Harr and husband, Dustin of Dudley; grandchildren, Kahlan Grabowski and Emma Pleasant; brother, Michael Aaron Wood and wife, Cynthia of Dunn; nephews, Aubron Hardison Wood and wife, Ethar of Seattle, Washington and Anderson Hughes Wood of Greenville.
