Annah Laura Capps Harris, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born, January 19, 1932 in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Elizabeth Adcock Capps. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry Harris; daughter, Sherry Harris; and sister, Mary Ruth Williford.

To know Annah was to love her, to know her was to know love, to be known by her was to be loved by her.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Annah is survived by her son, Arthur “Phil” Harris and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Elizabeth “Charli” Hardee and husband Larry, Phillip Harris and wife Betsy, Tim Harris, and Jessie Harris; great-grandchildren, Trey Wall, Avery Wall, Grant Hardee and wife Candace, Lauren Hardee, and Hailey Harris; great-great grandchildren; sister, Janie Norton; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Mac Pittman and Connie Fair.
