Annette Bizzell Holland, age 74, died Thursday evening at her home surrounded by her family. Born March 1, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Rev. Tom Ed and Rachel Rogers Bizzell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bizzell and brother, Tony Bizzell.
A 1965 graduate of Princeton High School, she retired from the NCDOC after 30 years. Annette also volunteered at Smithfield Manor for over 40 years with the Sunday School Class Ministry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the Princeton Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Matt Cornett and Rev. Bobby Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Bizzell Family Cemetery on Evans Road, Princeton. The family will receive friends Monday, January, 24, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Parrish Funeral Home.
Surviving are her sons, Jason Holland and his wife, Mandy and Jarrod Holland; grandchildren, Leah Saleen Holland, Jordan Mason Holland and Justin William Holland; her children’s father, Larry Nelson Holland; brothers, Teeny Bizzell and his wife Janice and Sheriff Steve Bizzell and his wife Jennifer; sisters, Betsy Woodard and her husband Benny, Bonnie Outlaw and her husband Haywood and Ginger Wheeler and her husband John; special nieces, Connie Toole and Rebecca Whitlock and husband Bobby; special childhood friend, Janet Bridgers; special cousins, Brenda and Jerry Garner and special friends, Judy Little, Terry Arthur, Georgia Edwards, Shirley Strickland, Janice Vandiford, Heidi Sullivan and Jenny Thompson.
