Four Oaks- Anthony Ray Woodard, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home in Four Oaks. Born in Wake County on September 27, 1962, he was a son to the late Guy Standing Hilburn and mother, Helen Louise Millard Higley of Wilmington.
Tony loved fishing, spending time outdoors, working and tinkering. He owned and operated a successful general contracting business for 30 years. Tony loved his church, but his greatest love was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Christopher Hilburn.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday January 23, 2023 at Temple City Church in Selma. The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 12-2 pm.
Tony is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paulette Ann Smeal Woodard of Four Oaks; son, Brooks Anthony Woodard of Four Oaks; daughter, Emily Ann Woodard Bennett and husband Zachary of Benson; brother, Derick Hilburn and wife Melissa of Four Oaks; and grandson, Brayden Brooks Woodard.
