Mrs. Barbara Ann Young, age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 15 at Plainview Presbyterian Church in Angier. The Rev. Ron Jones will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Angier.
Mrs. Young was born on April 25, 1939 in Harnett County to the late, M. Garland Dupree and Annie Rose Pleasant. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Young, Jr.. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and was loved by everyone who knew her.
Surviving includes her daughters, Patsy Young, Rita Gardner, Sue Proctor and husband, Tom, Rose Turlington and husband, Steve, Kathy Young, Linda Young, Penny Meade and husband, Bill, Jenny Underhill and husband, Tommy, Angel Lee and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Chris Gardner, Jessica Pratt, Candace Zuckerman, Megan Proctor, Amber Upton, Patrick Stuart, Brandi Schmidt, Jamie Hastings, Joshua Underhill, Ashley Underhill, Chase (Sea) Young, Max Meade; great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Mangan, Connor Mangan, Tylee Zuckerman, Grayson Pratt, Jacob Pratt, Claire Schmidt and Cohen Schmidt; sisters, Jeannetta Deal and Gale Creech.
Barbara passed following a battle with the after effects of Covid. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Charlotte Hospice and Palliative Care Southminster.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
The family extends their grateful and heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the wonderful loving care that Barbara received.
